The guest speaker of the experience sharing seminar in March was Abdullah Karacan – a successful businessman with over 27 years of business experience who is the owner of Denmark based UNIFOOD food company and at the same time the chairman of DATIFED (Danish-Turkish Businessmen Federation).

The event started with the welcoming speech of the chairman for STBC. Later on, the Secretary General for STBC – Fuad Mammadli made a presentation about the recent activities of STBC involving both Turkish and Swedish business communities in Gothenburg, as well as future plans & projects, and network organizations such as SWETURK, UNITEE.

After the presentation, Mr. Mammadli left the floor to the co-chairman of STBC – Ercan Kargili. Giving a detailed speech on the vision and goals of the association, Mr. Kargili expressed his belief in accomplishing the successful projects by STBC in Gothenburg and Sweden in a short period of time, and afterwards introduced Abdullah Karacan to the audience.

Mr. Karacan stated that the road which brought him to the success level of his business life nowadays, passes through honesty, discipline, open-mindness, and at the same time being respectful towards other business people and official governmental bodies. On the other hand, Abdullah Karacan mentioned that some factors which usually are not considered as the integral part of the business life – such as, social life, continious sports, healthy food – are very important for achieving success and brought examples from his personal life. “Everyday I go to bed at 11.00 p.m. and I get up at 04.00 a.m. I do my best to get to the workplace the first – for me it’s very important to be a good leader for my staff in terms of responsibility. On the other hand I don’t forget about the daily sport. And I keep all of these in balance for years!” stated Mr. Karacan. Afterwards, the guest speaker and participants had personal talks during the cocktail organized by STBC. At the end of the event Abdullah Karacan, STBC staff and participants had a memory photo.
