In line with the objective to integrate with the Swedish business world, Swedish-Turkish Business Cooperation visited Kenneth Kastman Krantz – Svenskt Näringsliv’s (The Confederation of Swedish Enterprises) Head of the regional office for Gothenburg/Skövde on January 17.

Svenskt Näringsliv is Sweden’s one of the largest and most influential business bodies representing 49 member organizations and 60 000 member companies with over 1.6 million employees.

In the course of the visit, Secretary General for STBC – Fuad Mammadli informed Kenneth Krantz about STBC and its activities. Sharing his positive thoughts concerning the activities performed in Gothenburg by a Turkish business association, Kenneth Krantz stated that STBC might become a member of the confederation, and also highlighted that participation in seminars, business lunches and conferences organized by Svenskt Näringsliv may also contribute to the development of Swedish-Turkish business cooperation.

Later on, Secretary General for STBC reminded that the same day, the Minister for Trade of Sweden – Ewa Björling was visiting Turkey (January 15-17) and one of the main reasons of the visit was insufficient level of trade between Sweden and Turkey. Mr. Mammadli stated that one of the goals of STBC is to contribute to this issue through its existing business network – SWETURK, UNITEE and TUSKON. At the end of the meeting, Mr. Krantz expressed his concurrence and stated that it will be of great interest to get involved into joint activities in order to expand the role of Swedish-Turkish business cooperation within the region of his accountability.
